The sashimi was served with sumi source, which is miso & vinegar based, and tastes fresh, without typical muddy smell of fresh-water fishes. While I was not too sure if my eel was born locally, unlike in Singapore or Malaysia, the eel here has much more smoky aroma, and displays fluffy, slightly elastic texture. We ordered the domestic eel for 4,600 and the half bowl at 3,100. It was light but with alittle crispness which added to the flavor.
We also ordered katsu and Tenju. These were fine, but I’ve had better and at much more reasonable prices.
The Irish coffee was lovely and new experience. I recommend trying.
