I tried the Kawa-uwo Go-zen (Unagi Course Meal with Carp fish Sashimi & Carp Fish miso soup). The sashimi was served with sumi source, which is miso & vinegar based, and tastes fresh, without typical muddy smell of fresh-water fishes. While I was not too sure if my eel was born locally, unlike in Singapore or Malaysia, the eel here has much more smoky aroma, and displays fluffy, slightly elastic texture. The eel tare was also amplifying the flavour, bringing out great aftertaste. I would say eel dishes is a must-try when traveling in Japan,...

The service was polite, gentle and with a smile whilst the interior is newly renovated.

We ordered the domestic eel for 4,600 and the half bowl at 3,100. It was light but with alittle crispness which added to the flavor.

We also ordered katsu and Tenju. These were fine, but I’ve had better and at much more reasonable prices.

The Irish coffee was lovely and new experience. I recommend trying.

Overall I was happy to have a more peaceful meal with polite service compared to the high turnover attitude found nearer...

Walked around quite a bit & didn't realised shops closed here so early!! Whilst I couldn't go to another restaurant because it was closed, this was a very pleasant surprise. Prices were reasonable. Menu had English. I ordered the unagi set don plus a skewer of Eel Liver. Super nice charred and the smokiness still there when served. Unagi was tender yet firm. And takes credit card! Important because I ran...
