Narita Edokko Sushi Kaiun — Restaurant in Narita

2024年12月31日.主人と娘と夕食で尋ねました。年末に3人で一杯ずつ乾杯もして寿司と美味しく頂きました。外国人も多かったです。 問題は会計時です。 会計しようとしたけど伝票がなく、直接カウンターに行きました。会計額が思ったより高く主人がもう一度計算するように伝えました。 そしたら(名前控えは良かったです！！顔は覚えてます)怒ったような顔して、 じゃあ見て下さいね！と言って早くレジを打ってました。全然見えなくて、うちはこれから食べたんですけど、、伝えたら 『じゃあもう一回良いですか？と言って又ものすごいスピードで打ってました。娘と私は合ってるんじゃないかなあ、、と主人に言ったら、違うから伝票見せてと言いました。

そしたら頼んでもないワインボトル一本が手書きで書かれていて『そもそも、全部手書きでした、怪しいです！！』 ワインなんか、しかもボトルで頼んでないですけど、と伝えたら あ、そうですか？と謝りの言葉もなく、じゃあこの値段です。と会計を済ませてました。 主人と私達は、唖然として、一言言いたかったんですが大晦日にせっかく家族団欒な良い雰囲気を壊したくなかったので何も言わなかったですが後味が悪く、二度と行かないと思います。その後も本当に気分が晴れなくて、嫌な思いをしました。 江戸っ子寿司は成田では有名で信頼できる店だと思ってましたが違いました。しかも日本で外国でもなく、日本でこんな騙されそうになったのは初めてだしありえないと思いました！！ 皆さん、成田の江戸っ子寿司利用する際には必ず！！伝票確認して下さい！！ 特に外国人が多かったので、そう言われたら言われたまま払うしかないので気をつけて下さい！！ December 31, 2024. I went there for dinner with my husband and daughter. At the end of the year, the three of us had a toast and enjoyed sushi. There were many foreigners there. The problem was when we paid. I tried to pay, but there was no receipt, so I went directly to the counter. The bill was higher than I expected, so my husband asked me to calculate it again. Then (it was good that the name was written down! I remember his face) he looked angry, and said, Please take a look! and started to ring up the cash register quickly. I couldn't see at all, and we were about to eat, but when I told him, he said, "Then can I try again?" and started to ring up again at an incredible speed. I told my husband that my daughter and I might be right, but he said that it was wrong and asked to see the receipt. Then there was a bottle of wine that we didn't order, written by hand, and he said, "In the first place, it was all handwritten, it's suspicious!! !" When I told him that I didn't order wine, especially by the bottle, he said, "Oh, is that so?" without any apology, and so it's this price. and paid the bill. My husband and I were stunned and wanted to say something, but we didn't want to ruin the good family atmosphere on New Year's Eve so we said nothing, but it left a bad taste in our mouths and we don't think we'll ever go there again. We were really in a bad mood afterwards and had a bad experience. I thought Edokko Sushi was a famous and trustworthy restaurant in Narita but I was wrong. What's more, it was the first time I'd been tricked like this in Japan, not even abroad, and I thought it was unbelievable!! Everyone, when you go to Edokko Sushi in Narita, be sure to!! Check the receipt!! There were especially a lot of foreigners there, so if you are asked to pay, you have no choice but to pay as you are asked, so...

This is the sister (or possibly big brother) restaurant of another sushi restaurant just around the corner. Fortunately, like it's smaller sibling, the sushi here is very fresh, super tasty, reasonably priced, and generously proportioned. As a bonus, this location is also open on Saturday!

The sushi masters behind the counter are friendly, and the support staff are very efficient. This is especially appreciated when the only three words of Japanese we know are biru (beer), kanpai (cheers), and oishi (tasty).

Don't worry if you can't speak Japanese, because the English menu (with pictures) has everything you need to know. Like all good sushi restaurants, the chef's add wasabi to your order (in varying amounts to match the seafood), so if this isn't your thing, make sure to mention...

Must try if you like sushi & in the area (only 10 minutes/1 subway station away from Narita airport). Nice staff, clean comfy place.

Appreciated the thick and large slices of fish, just enough rice. New exp - bottom right corner on that sushi plate is sardine. Never had raw sardine before, not as fishy as saba/mackerel but pretty soft mushy (I prefer the firmness of saba). The other plate has yellow tail (hamachi) & scallop - had both before but never this good. Very fresh & scallop has a luscious mouth feel, juicy with a mild flavor. Want to come back :) They have lunch special/lil lower prices. Wish the full menu was in English too, not just few pages...
