Any port in a storm… any coffee shop in a blizzard! It was morning, it was sunny but cold, and we were happily on the way to a recommended coffee shop. As we arrived it was closed; and that’s when the train got derailed… it began snowing!!! We frantically deployed our best Foursquare skillz but came up empty. Beginning to freeze, now we used our eyeballs instead and spotted this quaint little coffee shop. Run by a welcoming auntie; we entered with snow on our jackets; but could feel the immediate warmth. We were here for hot coffee so a couple of Americano’s were on order, which came with dainty little creamer jugs. The decor reminded me of old diners from American TV shows, and had a very calming feel - and also some cool jazz that really soothed our souls (mighta been Dave Brubeck’s version of ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’). The coffee is simple (don’t expect barista style here) but it does the job and the service is fast and friendly. Before long we were joined by other locals, coming to get their caffeine and cigarette fix. This shop gave us sanctuary from the storm and will always hold a place in my heart; that day it also gave us a great start to our morning!

純喫茶の雰囲気が嬉しかった。お手洗をお借りしたら、スイングドア！和式！赤いタイル！…と興奮。入口にゲームテーブル、その上にたぶん舟の照明（ノアの方舟で店名？）私が食べたかったオムライスをランチに食べてドリンク、お味噌汁付で650円？←お釣りの感じなので正確なお値段は忘れました😅日替りは800円だったかな？おちついた雰囲気も含めて気に入りました...
