Cafe Bochika ( Russian & Ukrainian cuisine ) — Restaurant in Osaka

I came across this place as I was looking for Authentic Russian cuisine in Osaka, and this cafe fits the description perfectly. The cafe does a good job of creating the soviet dining ambience. Conveniently located near Tanimachi 6-chome station and can be accessed by both Tanimachi line and Nagahori Tsurumi Ryokuchi line. I ordered their Chicken Cheburashka (Chicken with sour cream and buckwheat). The buckwheat was al dente and delicious and similar to what you might get in a Russian cafeteria. Very nice little restaurant run be an older Japanese man who seems to speak an endless amount of languages!

I ordered the piroshki with meat and the pelmeni, also with meat. Both were very tasty, especially the latter which was slathered in sour cream (which can be difficult to find in Japan).

The only shame is that the cabbage rolls were sold out, but I'll just have to...

The small private Russian cuisine cafe. I definitely reccomend it. As Russian i can say that all food made perfectly with love. All meals were tasty, host is a very nice old man, who also gave some free russian tea. Cafe has good prices too, i ate a lot of food and payed about 1000 yen for a person. I will visit this place...
