Discovered this place on google maps after we decided that we wanted to try Japanese style curry. This was a very short walk away from the station and an even shorter walk away from Osaka Castle! So a very convenient location for lunch for people planning to visit the Castle.

We were greeted by the owner and chef cooking in the back who spoke English very well. They were very welcome to foreigners. Some local men were inside eating as well! Small and cozy, counter style seating and 3 small tables that can comfortably fit groups of 4.

Simple menu with English available. Choose your dish (protein or veggie curry), amount of rice, and spiciness level. Then u can request any additional add ons such as more meat, fish, veggies, etc. plenty of options to choose from.

I got the tonkatsu curry which i was very pleased with, the normal amount of rice, and a spiciness level of 2 which was the perfect amount in my opinion

We also got crab cream croquette curry and a vegetable curry with shrimp tempura added on. All of our dishes were excellent and we were all highly satisfied.

The owner also took a photo for us and was excited to hear that we were visiting from Hawaii. He had a map on the wall where visitors pin their home on it. It was fun to see where everybody else has visited from.

If you’re in Osaka and love Japanese curry, do not miss this place! This cozy curry spot absolutely blew us away. The food was rich, flavorful, and comforting—every bite felt like it was made with heart and soul. You can tell the chef takes real pride in perfecting their menu, and it shows.

We got the pork tonkatsu with cheese. Tread lightly on the spice level though. We got level 5 but it was too spicy for us. Next time, we’ll get 3 or 4. Or I will get 5 but with honey, as well. There were other toppings to choose from.

What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the incredible hospitality. They got to know us and they really appreciate their customers. I liked how they have a map to see where different foreigners have visited from. You can tell the regulars and new customers love the owners. Now I can see why this place is so popular!

They were warm, generous, and genuinely passionate about sharing their food and culture. It’s rare to find that kind of heartwarming service these days, and it made our visit feel so special.

We were craving curry rice and we were so excited to have found THE BEST in Japan! They have an English menu to choose from too. We ordered their recommended dish, curry rice with Sangenton pork cutlet and it was so warm, hearty and satisfying! The owners were so welcoming, friendly and keen to communicate with us. With a bit of Japanese, English and a whole lot of Google Translate, we were able to chat with each other, even got great recommendations on places to visit around Osaka! The owners let us try their home made lassi/yogurt drink and since I didn’t order any drinks, the owner asked me what is my favourite drink. He was very kind and gave me a free cup of coffee 😍 Our hearts and tummy are full!
