Very good pork paos and siumais to try. Slightly different from Malaysia and Singapore style as there are no five spice powder in it. The freshness of pork elevated the taste to new horizon on the palettes. Texture of the pao is chewy; chewy good I supposed.

I tried the sweet sour pork meatballs as well. Again, the fresh pork has it all. The sauce is starchy however.

There are many outlets around Osaka and there is always a queue...

12時過ぎ、店の前を通りかかるとウェイティングの列が無い。思わず空席に座っていた。 海鮮揚げそば　1030円を注文、すぐに会計。PayPayが使えて便利だが、席を離れてレジまで会計に行くのが面倒。 昼時とあって提供時間は長め。第一印象は彩りが良い盛り付け。赤い縞模様が綺麗なエビ2尾は、尾が一節残してある丁寧な仕事。ホタテは少し薄いかな。薄味に整えられていて、年齢層の高いデパ地下にあっても、食べやすい中華だと思う。麺はサクッと軽く揚がっていて、自宅では真似のできないレベル。ラードかな。 カウンター席は必要最小限のスペース。目の前を店員さんが慌ただしく通り、調理の人が疲れた表情を見せている。デパートの中にあっても、ここはレストランではなくイートインスペース...

テイクアウトに行列ができている「551の豚まん」を一度も美味しいと思ったことがない大阪人です。

土地勘のない上本町に用事があり、大変寒い日でしたので、とりあえず近鉄百貨店上本町店に入って遅いランチを探しました。

気まぐれにカウンターだけのイートインで「海鮮麺」を戴きました。麺とスープは美味しかったですが…海老、イカの鮮度が少し低いようで臭みが気になりました。
