Avocados Mexican Cafe Morinomiya — Restaurant in Osaka

Update 2024/2: Menu is slightly different now but the food and staff are still awesome! This place is still my go to for beef burritos and carrot cake, yum!

Older post: Delicious and flavorful mexican food! I highly recommend this place. The cafe has bomb burritos, I got the beef burrito set for 1400 yen. The burrito has rice and beans, cilantro, beef, peppers, and avocados. If you can't eat certain ingredients, just let the staff know and they're more than happy to leave it out.

The owner is super nice, he's currently coming up with a new menu so come by to try his dishes before it changes! He was kind enough to let us try his carrot cake (not in the menu yet!) It was so good!

I ate here for lunch, ordered a pork burrito set, it comes with a soup and salad. I also ordered the triple dark chocolate cake.

Pork burrito - 3/5 I could not taste the pork due to the rice. It still had some interesting flavors but feels like it's catered for Japanese taste. Soup - 5/5 it is a birria soup, flavorful and delicious Salad - 5/5 better than your usual Japanese side salad Triple dark chocolate cake - 5/5 full of chocolate flavor without being overly sweet. Ice cream on top pairs well with the cake.

They speak fluent English and you will have no problems ordering. Warm, casual ambiance with Spanish music overhead and medium bright lighting.

I was blown away by how authentic this Mexican restaurant in Japan was! From the first bite, I could tell everything was made with care and fresh ingredients. The salsa and sauces were absolutely incredible full of flavor, perfectly balanced, and just the right amount of heat. We tried the burrito, enchiladas, and tacos, and every single dish was bursting with authentic flavor. It was so good we even had to order an extra burrito!
