This was the closest restaurant to our accommodation (a trek of exactly 40m), and so we decided to check it out. We met Moha (sorry if the spelling is incorrect, but it’s a shortened version of Mohamed), and he told us that he was closed on this particular day. And then said “but I never turn business away” and opened up just for us!
And that is indication of Moha’s hospitable nature. We ended up visiting multiple times. There’s a very small menu, but a word to the wise: just let Moha decide what to cook for you. We did that twice and the platters of food that came out were astonishing (and too much for us to eat, so take a doggy bag!). Truly, the food was outstanding.
Don’t expect a quick visit. We joked about it all being prepared on “African time”, but that extra investment of time will reward you with a strong sense of community and belonging. I know that sounds like a crock, but it was our experience.

We missed the live music event unfortunately but the choice of recorded music played afterwards by the staff was great. We were treated to loads of blues classics. Proprietor and staff are very hospitable and accommodating. Can't recommend highly...
