China Bal Hanasunsho — Restaurant in Osaka

After 10 days enjoying amazing food throughout Japan, we decided to try Chinese cuisine our first night in Osaka. Not only is the food here amazing but so is the service. We had ribs, tempura soft shell crab, mapo tofu, shrimp fried rice, oyster sauce yakisoba, shrimp dumplings, and beer & sours. We wanted to try much more but obviously, could only eat so much. You order on your phone which is great because the website translates the menu to English and you can also order each course as you’re ready and set the pace yourself. Plus, the dishes are perfectly sized for sharing but also small enough so you won’t get too full. I know there are reviews from other tourists, but when we were there on a Thursday evening, it was only locals. Kind of hidden upstairs to the left (if you’re like us, we don’t speak Japanese so it took us a minute to find it). The service was just outstanding and I can’t recommend this casual restaurant high enough. Finally, for all the food we ordered and 7 drinks, it was about 10,790 Yen which was absolutely incredible for the quality of food and wonderful atmosphere! うーん🧐 麻婆豆腐は味が無かった、、、。

エビマヨは美味しかった。

餃子も美味しかった。

麻婆豆腐は期待しただけに残念感が、、、。

スタッフさんの感じが、初見からよく無かったのかもです。

入れるかなー？ と店を外から覗くと、客は2人 ちょうど終わって会計する時でした。

あれで無理やったら2度と来ません。

店の外に タイムボード的なやつ置いて この時間は予約あるとか 何時から何時までは空いてる 的なものおく方がよっぽどな限り 初見のお客さんへ印象はいいと感じました。

아는 사람한테 추천받고 갔어요...

음🧐 마파두부는 맛이 없었다,,,

새우마요는 맛있었어.

만두도 맛있었다.

마파두부는 기대했던 만큼 아쉬움이...

스태프 분의 느낌이 처음 보는 것부터 좋지 않았던 것 같습니다.

들어갈 수 있을까? 하고 가게를 밖에서 들여다보니, 손님은 2명 마침 끝나고 계산할 때였어요.

가게 밖에 타임보드 같은 거 놔두고 이 시간에는 예약이 있다던가 몇시부터 몇시까지는 시간이 있어 적인 것을 두는 편이 상당히 좋은 한 처음 보는 손님에게 인상은 좋다고...

My first time eating Chinese food in Japan, the storefront is low-key but it’s an indeed amazing experience here. My sensitive taste can feel the chef somewhat excels the core of Chinese food, while combining the Japanese localization perfectly — subtle in flavor, perfectly seasoned, and the size is just right, and without typically too oily that original Chinese food has.

The couples (owner I guess?) are friendly and approachable, and customers sitting around seem to communicate with decent voice...
