After a few days of capsule stay, I decided to stay near the Namba station on my last night for convenience of traveling to the airport. Having one of the highest ratings around this area, I was glad that I chose this hotel.
As with most of hotels, the check-in time is after 3pm. As I arrived way earlier, I deposited my luggage at the self-service luggage deposit area - just find an empty space with a numerical lock chain and get the luggages chained together.
Upon returning from my day trip to Nara, I immediately went to check-in - I thought I needed to use one of the machines since there was no counter staff to be seen. But upon approaching the self-check in machine, I was approached by a female staff from nowhere - she probably would have spotted my presence via the CCTV. She assisted me with the check-in and ensured that everything was seamless. Do note that there was a payable tax of JPY300 which was clearly mentioned on my Agoda booking.
The room was significantly bigger than I expected with all the necessary amenities. Do take the amenities from the lobby - from beverages to toiletries like face cream. The room was clean and well equipped as well with voice control Alexa assistant.
I booked a room for one, but two sets of pajamas, and face and body towel was provided. There were two carrier bags to bring the necessities when you visit the public baths at level 15.
No bath tub in the room but a public bath at level 15. The public bath was very well maintained and clean - hardly crowded with at most 3 guests when I visited in the evening.
Check-out time was 10am and was as seamless as the check-in - I just passed the keycard to a staff and helped myself with the luggage storage once again while I did my last minute shopping.
The hotel is just a stone throw away from Namba station and there is a 7-11 just opposite. It is also walking distance to the Dotonbori area, less than 10 minutes...

Location: less than 10mins walk to Namba Station (can cut through the Midosuji Grand building) which is well connected to rest of the lines and shopping and sights seeing spots. Short walk to a 9+ floor Don Don Donki building and Dotonburi. And hence short walk to Shinsaibashi shopping area as well. But it's not too close to these area, hence no noise. There is a Lawson and 7-11 just across the streets and with eateries around, hence good alternatives to Dotonburi for food. also can head to Namba Station for food as well. 1. Room of decent size, not big but good enough for the price in Japan. 2. very courteous and enthusiastic staffs, English is good. ps. Ms Ueno especially, a bubbly lady always smiling and trying to interpret and help. 3. Check in area looks small but the check in is fast with staffs ready to help. luggage storage space also available. There is a self help room amenities like comb, tooth brush, razor, etc. 4. Amenities in the room is in good condition and ideal enough (with kettle, ceramic mugs, dryer, very decent sized TV, and even a plasma air purifier). 5. Bed is comfortable and looks clean. 6. Toilet and Shower areas are very clean, in two separate areas. Shower gel etc smells good. The shower head comes wirh function so is a plus. The water temp and pressure is very ideal. 7. Two bots of water provided every day. If u choose not to clean the room, fresh towels will still be provided, in a plastic bag hand by your door by the evening when u back, with the two bots of water. 8. Aircon/heater works well, no noise. Overall it's a very good choice, nothing to complain about for the price vs the location. Ps. especially comparing to Tokyo hotels of the same price range which will make this top notch anyone has that experience...

I recently stayed at FOURZ Hotel Kintetsu Osaka Nanba and overall, my experience was mixed. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a stone's throw away from Dotonburi, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the bustling area. One of the highlights for me was the hotel's peaceful atmosphere, being tucked away from the crowd despite its central location.
Upon arrival, I found the automated check-in system intriguing. The staff were stationed in a room behind the reception, only stepping in when issues arose. While this streamlined the process, I felt the absence of personal interaction. Most services were self-service, which suited my independent travel style.
The room itself was decent, although there were noticeable maintenance issues. The air conditioning emitted an unpleasant odor, requiring me to use aroma oil to mask it. Additionally, the lack of space to hang towels was inconvenient, especially when guests need to bring their own towels to the public bath. The long wooden panel in the toilet seemed impractical, serving only as a surface to stack items, which felt unhygienic given its proximity to the toilet bowl.
Speaking of the public bath, it was a basic amenity that provided a relaxing experience after a day of walking. While it wasn't luxurious, having this facility was a definite plus.
In summary, FOURZ Hotel Kintetsu Osaka Nanba offers a convenient location and a peaceful retreat from the nearby crowds. However, improvements in room maintenance, towel storage, and the functionality of amenities like the toilet panel would significantly enhance the overall...
