If your a tourist don’t bother, the app was annoying and they don’t have free wifi to download it.
I will say the coffee and toaster we got was good and the lady who made it was lovely and obviously good at her job, however the app is unnecessary, a website could do the same job for less hassle to the customer. There was also only one staff member present, and I am suspicious that they have cut their cooking and servings staff to only one person because of the labor saved by getting patrons to do their own payment. The app gave us an estimated waiting time of 4 minutes for our coffee and toasted cheese, it actually took 10 minutes. 4 minutes isn’t enough time to make 2 coffee and 2 toasties, address other customers, accept multiple deliveries, with only one staff member.
My recommendation to the business owner 1- get a website so the customer doesn’t have to spend data and storage carrying around your app. 2- employee less people to make apps and more people to make coffee and...
Read moreBeautiful modern and minimal interior with bonsai around. Prices for coffee are on the higher premium side. As everyone says ordering seems to be a pain as u need to download an app and they don't really take direct payments. In my experience, I forgot my LINE password so you'll need that to login the app, so off I go password reset etc. The barista has to tend to me for 10mins guiding the installation and ordering cause it's all in kanji. Here's the thing though, the 30 mins I was there 4 other tables walked in were tourists, that means the poor solo barista has to spend 40mins on all this nonsense Vs traditional cash register system. It's like going to McDonald's but you first need to solve this math equation, run 100m dash before ordering. Food for thought, 80% of new businesses fail within 5 years. Let you...
Read moreIs their coffee worth the trouble of downloading their app, putting in your payment info, ordering through their app, and paying 1000+ for a pour over and a scone? Depends on who you ask. But as someone who brews their own coffee and is quite particular, I would say that I could probably just make this cup at home with very decent beans. I had a Peruvian geisha called Noble white. They did a really well done pour over on some properly roasted beans to be sure, but I wouldn’t say it’s a super rare experience that would necessitate traveling to Osaka and seeking this place out. Don’t get me wrong, It’s a fantastic little quiet spot during the time I visited. Very serene. They do have some decent beans. There’s no doubt they take their work seriously, but at the end of the day, it’s coffee....
