HUKULOU COFFEE — Restaurant in Osaka

I don’t like to write bad reviews but I feel I have to do it. This is one of the worst place I have been (just after Tennoji zoo). I’m not a crazy defender of the animal cause but I felt sick after visiting this place. Dirty, animals trapped in small cages, no water (one of the rabbit didn’t have water and when I touched his little bottle to check, it ran at it because it was extremely thirsty… I wanted to cry). One owl was standing in a tinny handmade plastic cage on the top of a window. It was hot and sooooo smelly. I payed for an hour but I couldn’t stay more than 30 minutes (I asked the staff to give water to the rabbit before leaving). How this place can still be open in a country like Japan....

One of the worst place in this area. They serve industrial cakes & sub-quality coffee. This coffee shop is superficial, expensive and bad (if not in taste, for your health). Go for the Mino beer or the sealed cookies for safety. They use and abuse the theme of "pets" like some women wear too much makeup. If you want a feel of Nakazakicho, pass your way. For those owls lovers this place is best avoided. It has only 2 small miserable owls which you cannot touch unlike other owls cafe. Many cats around and honestly the smell wasn't pleasant. Left within 20 mins despite the 1 hr allocation and 6300 yen poorer. Should have read others reviews before...
