Let’s start with the good: Super unique ambiance as seen in the pictures — almost like being whisked in a time machine, you can appreciate the preserved interior with recycled goods & furniture which adds classic taste to the aged character of the establishment. Lofi music on repeat accentuates a modern hip vibe when intertwined with the antique atmosphere.
...& then the bad: All it takes is one bad customer service experience to whisk away the glory of everything I wrote up above and in this case, it came in the form of the rude gentleman wearing an “Avengers” hat, constantly wiping his runny nose with his hands while not wearing a mask. When I first came in the store he just kind of ignored me until I took a seat which caught his attention since he then tells me I need to order something from him first, so I get up and order a coffee. The coffee he made was subpar which was forgivable but the way he served it to me wasn’t. He slides it across the counter with a frown and simply says “300 yen”. As someone who’s worked in the coffee industry for years, I get it — some days it’s hard to always keep a smile — but this guy was straight up rude & questionably under the weather.

Read moreA cozy decorated local house which has the kind of nostalgic of an old house. There is a large green leaves bushes, overs the entrance. It was quite noticeable, but if we don’t know, we’d thought, it was just one of the local houses in the quite area neighbour hood. There are many variety of shops, tailor shop, gift shops, bakeries and even a secondhnd shop in the area of small ally. Saldon de AManTo is a perfect place to hangout and has quite unique decent food on the menu as well as the setting of the place. Nice place to hangout with friends for drinks or a meal and snack. We ordered a rice dish with some type of tomato base sauce on top, very simple but yet light tasty dish. The mushroom and cheese on toast was just amazing. Love the place, I’d love...
Read moreAbsolutely not foreigner friendly. I was looking for a local, authentic spot to experience the culture, and this place definitely seems to be a cool hangout for locals .. however, for me, I was very unwelcome and clearly unwanted. The group next to me looked me up and down then back to their friends, and laughed the entirety of my stay. The employee who served me was also quite rude. I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences so far in Osaka, and this is the first time I felt so uncomfortable. Separately, the food was bland and the chai was probably the worst I ever had. Tasted like warmed milk with no spices. Only good thing about this place is vibey atmosphere. Would...
