On a recent visit to enjoy Kazuto Ramen, I aimed to try their signature Kazuto Ramen (850 yen) and the shime ochazuke (200 yen). Upon entering the restaurant, I was enveloped in a cozy atmosphere that set the stage for a delightful meal.
I started with the Kazuto Ramen, which featured a light yet deeply flavorful seafood-based broth with a distinctive bonito taste. The broth was refreshing yet rich, making me want to savor every last drop. The noodles had a firm texture and a pleasant chewiness. Halfway through my bowl, I added the recommended house seasoning called "Buzz." This seasoning added a subtle hint of yuzu, enhancing the flavor and bringing a new depth to the dish. It’s worth noting that the recommended seasoning varies depending on the ramen ordered, which piqued my interest to try different combinations in future visits.
After finishing the ramen, I moved on to the shime ochazuke. The rice, seasoned similarly to the ramen broth, was served with the remaining ramen broth poured over it. Topped with wasabi, nori, and ume, the simple yet profound flavors made for a perfect end to the meal. The combination of these ingredients created a comforting and satisfying dish that complemented the ramen beautifully.
The restaurant’s layout is thoughtfully designed, with chopsticks and condiments stored under the counter, and only black oolong tea placed on the table, giving a clean and organized impression. The staff were cheerful and attentive, adding to the pleasant dining experience.
In addition to the ramen and ochazuke, I also tried the steamed mixed rice, which was fluffy and well-prepared. It was topped with minced char siu, ground meat, green onions, and eggs, offering a hearty and satisfying option.
Overall, my visit to Kazuto Ramen was highly satisfying. The restaurant provides an excellent combination of light seafood broth ramen and heartwarming ochazuke in a welcoming and stylish environment. The quality of the dishes and the overall ambiance make me eager to return and explore more...
