Despite the service, overall I will give this place a two star.
I have heard of Kaiseki when I was very young. This is my first time in Japan and was so excited get to have the chance to try Kaiseki to experience the beauty of Japanese cuisine art. I was extremely excited for the dinner however got very offended once sat down and found out the tray was so worn out and chipped all over, the dinnerwares served were very disappointing.
We ordered a 22k yen set and a 15k yen set. Food was very generic, so called Japanese beef was marinated, too sweet and can't taste the beef itself. The sea bream was dry and too sweet as well. Scallop was topped with mango-ish flavor sauce, they don't get alone.
Well I might have said too much. But it really kinda ruined my Kaiseki fantasy. We ended with paying over 300 USD but no memorable moments as I didnt even try to take photos, It was just...
