Pretty sure I got ripped off. Had dinner reservations at 6pm, place opens at 5:30pm. They pretty much told me everything was sold out except (of course) the most expensive item which is the dry aged kobe 280g. Basically that was the only option available to us for 13,000 yen. Chef pulls out a vacuum sealed steak that doesn't looked heavily marbled as a kobe steak should (why does a dry aged steak have heavy moisture in a vacuum sealed bag?). I've been here before and they usually show us the cut before cooking. They did not. If this was kobe steak than this was the toughest kobe steak in the world. This place is a scam for tourists. Felt very taken advantage of and the waiter seems very annoyed as soon as I walked in. It’s not Kobe nor Miyazaki, but simply local premium beef yet the best beef eaten in Japan todate. So well charcoal grilled, so juicy and tender. The meat without any sauce is so sweet. Dip in their house sauce and it is another level of enjoyment. The onion gratin soup is sooo good too! No starch added. Just umami sweet well cook soft onion soup baked with chewy mozzarella cheese toast. So yummy that I had 2 servings. The tomato bruschetta is good too. The baguette is toasty yet soft. The tomato is sweet with the kick of garlic. And the fries with skin on. Crispy on the outside yet soft and fluffy on the inside! Overall very good....
