Kouroan — Restaurant in Osaka

If I could give more than 5 stars for food and service I would. My partner and I are tourists in Osaka and do not speak or read Japanese. The servers made us feel very welcome and made every effort to communicate with us. There is a QR code to scan for the English menu which we did. They also have the 10 or so course menu translated in English. Every single dish that was served was mine blowingly delicious. I highly recommend this place, it is also not overly pricey.

We had a wonderful dinner!

I booked this restaurant based on Tabélog ratings. So glad we came. Very nice variety of modern Izakaya dishes. Most dishes are quite small portioned but the price is equally reasonable. Everyone in our family estimated far higher $ value at the end of the meal.

It helps that the menu is online and comes in different languages. Of course, the translation for some unique Japanese fare may still be troublesome for foreigners.

I went there without knowing japanese, but the servers were able to use google translate to help get me started. I went with the 10 course omakase for 5000 yen which was honestly a freakin amazing deal, considering I enjoyed this more than the 200 euro 1 star michelin meals i had in Italy.
