Local Sake and Sushi Igosso Namba — Restaurant in Osaka

I walked past this place for 3 nights on my way back to my hotel. On the last night I wanted sushi and this popped up as a recommendation and I’m so glad I went in! Initially an all Japanese menu was a bit intimidating even with google translate, but the very attentive sushi chef instantly saw the look in my face and produced an English menu with photos! Very nice sushi place in Namba and very close to the new APA hotel and resort. The vibe is warm and cool and not noisy. The staff are all cheerful and courteous. If you're in the underground Namba walk, it will be right outside B1 exit. The sushi is fresh and the servings are big and the amount of sushi rice is just enough (not overwhelming). We ordered otoro (fatty tuna), medium fatty tuna, salmon, uni, mackerel, tamago and crab intestines, salmon roe and washed down with a good highball. If you haven’t been here, do yourself a HUGE favor and GO! My friend and I were just completely BLOWN AWAY at our experience here! This is NEXT LEVEL sushi and the chefs are performing this beautiful art and you are sitting court side while they make fresh sushi rolls, bowls, etc. with fresh seasfood(literally they have a fish tank with fish, shrimp, etc.). The staff is extremely friendly. The quality far exceeded any sushi ive had in my two week stay here throughout Japan. These guys should have a Michelin Star.
