Manderin — Restaurant in Osaka

Would eat here every morning if I could! We stayed in an Airbnb close by, so it was super convenient location for us. The super kind man who I assume was running the place, greeted us and apologized for the smokers (they allow smoking here) it didn’t bother us so we sat down an ordered. He spoke great English, and helped us with our order!

The food was absolutely incredible, you could tell everything was made fresh and all home made. We got the pudding pancakes with by far the best matcha latè we had the entire trip. The fruit was so perfectly ripe, and pudding home made every morning by the man taking our orders. Would recommend to anyone who’s traveling close to Momodani station as it’s just outside the doors of the station! I’m sure anything you order there...

Great Matcha quality and cheap price and friendly vibe! I randomly found this amazing place, I got a really great Matcha and I ended up going there every day during my stay even from other side of the city as the owner (it’s a family business) is so kind and welcoming that I simply didn’t want to have my matcha anywhere else. These amazing people are the sweetest people ever and I wish I could give them the same great feeling that they offered me, as if I am not just a customer but a friend that they were caring for. I would go back to Osaka just to see them again!...

Happened upon this mid century coffee shop and had a nice toast set for 320 yen. It's worth saying hello to the delightful couple who own the cafe. They have been running the shop as the second generation for 45 years; cafe has been around since 1963. Definitely worth a trip right at Momodani Station to get a dose of 60's, 70's Japan. I didn't mind the smoke and there is a non smoking section, even brought my kids just to experience it. Seems like a a lot of regulars who have been coming...
