Media Cafe Popeye Umeda DD House — Restaurant in Osaka

I'm not gonna lie here. I'm very confused with how they charge. Booked a cubicle at 550 yen per hours. I've entered at 19:01 as mentionned on my ticket. I was at the reception at 20:58 (slightly less than 2h - time was at the reception showing on the computer facing me) to pay and leave. The clerk ask me to pay 1230 yen (instead of 1100 yen). I precise that I didn't have any extra (no food or whatsoever). I request the clerk a detail of this charge and he explains that I was charged for 6 additional minutes... I'm really trying to understand how can I pay more time when I left earlier than expected. The clerk than take 5 minute to figure this out. I was kinda a afraid that he would pull a move on me so I took a picture at the exact time of 2h. The clerk wrote on his translator: "there is a fee but I cannot explain it". I decided to not waste more time as the amount kept increasing (the clerk was able to pull it back to 1230 yen but not lower somehow... I had a bus to take so I needed to go out and I've decided to pay that "fee" but wow that's absolutely weird to not have an explanation and still charge the extra.

I know it's not a lot of money but it's the principle that I dislike. I hope someone from management sees this and would be able to explain. Let me Know if that's a gaijin fee, as I could only figure this to be that. Clerk said it was not "taxes" when I asked him.

For other travelers, pay attention to your bill as nothing is quite certain on your way out...

I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for that experience at the end.

Cubicle was super clean comfy. Drinks are unlimited and there's a lot to choose from. Toilets are extra clean and filled in with beauty products. Didn't shower but they have some to for an extra 100 yen. Smoking room for anyone who wants. Tons of newspaper and Manga.

I wanted to try the Manga kissa experience and it was a success...

For the first time I felt as if I was treated with such great customer service that I felt compelled to write a review.

This may be just a normal manga cafe, but your customer service is much better than many hotels or pc cafes that I've stayed in the past, and it made staying here much more pleasant. Keep up the...

リクライニングの部屋に入りリクライニングチェアをずらした時に，床に置いていたバッグに向かって何かがポトっと落ち，バッグを持ち上げたところ4センチ以上のゴキブリが床に向かってジャンプし現れ，かなり動揺しました． 部屋を仕切る壁は下部が数センチ開いているため，外か周りの部屋に逃げたと思うことにして過ごしました． B1かつ周りのテナントが飲食店，周りの建物も飲食が多いこともありゴキブリが多い環境だと思いますので，ゴキブリキャップを見えにくい位置に設置するなど大々的にわかる形でもいいので対策をして頂きたいです。

・部屋（カウチソファーとリクライニング） カウチソファーとリクライニングは同額の部屋であるが，カウチソファーのほうが1.5倍ほど広く，フラットにして寝ることもできるため良い．カウチソファーは人気のため確実に選びたいならば前日以前にホームページ記載のグーグルフォームから予約． どちらもの部屋についても， 窓が元のサイズから絞られており，外からの視線は気にならず良い． ライトをつけても少し暗め． 各部屋にブランケットが一枚置かれており良い． 財布数個が余裕で入る4桁ダイヤル式の金庫があり良い．

・トイレ 嫌な臭いもせず，清掃されていて良い． 洗面台には洗顔にも使えるハンドソープ，髭剃り用のフォーム，歯磨き等で使用できる紙コップ，綿棒が置かれている．ハンドペーパーがあるのも良い．

・シャワー 30分，100円と安く良い．少し狭いが比較的綺麗で臭いもない．閉じた部屋のため換気はあまり良くなく，少し熱がこもる． 部屋は全体で1畳程度，脱衣スペースとシャワーブースのみで洗面台はない． 脱衣スペースに台がありティシュやアメニティ，ドライヤー，小型サーキュレーターが置かれている．フックとハンガーが2個ある． 鏡はシャワーブースと脱衣スペースどちらにもついているがシャワーブースのものは曇りやすく機能していない． シャワー...
