Wanted to try the local sushi experience.
We got inside and we were warmly welcomed by the two chefs and the host. Once seated, we noticed a man smoking inside which was not the most appealing thing for us. Nonetheless, as we were already there, we thought we'd give it a try.
The host, an old but very friendly lady, brought us hot towels to wipe our hands and started dishing out pickled ginger.
We were then given menus and selected two dishes: a plate of nigiri each and a thick sushi roll.
The nigiris came first: they had raw octopus, salmon, prawn and some other raw fish. We're absolutely not fans of raw octopus, so had to give that a pass. Read moreWe came in with so much gratitude at the end of a very long day of traveling. We were so tired and hungry, almost completely out of steam. We were welcomed with kindness and readiness. Our group of 4 tried most of the menu, I can’t think of a single piece I didn’t love. I recommend the variety plate to start. The magic is 50/50 your food & your hosts. I can’t even explain the experience we had, you had to be there. We left full of joy and a little booze having forgotten about the pain in our bodies and our poor aching feet. Please patronize these wonderful people and have your own experience. I don’t expect any meal in Japan to...

The food was amazing, the rice on the sushi is the perfect amount to allow the most important piece to take the stage. The atmosphere was friendly and the vibes from the place were really peaceful and old fashioned. Really enjoyed it and definitely a place to...
