Sashisu is a hidden gem offering some of the best value sushi in Japan, located in a cozy interior mall. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the prices are impressively reasonable, making it a standout spot for sushi lovers. The service is exceptional, with staff going out of their way to accommodate English-speaking customers. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

This place ranks high on our list of affordable sushi spots in Japan—definitely one of the best “cheap” sushi places we’ve had. We stopped by for a quick snack, and everything we ordered was delicious. The quality of the fish was top-notch, and the atmosphere was laid-back and casual, perfect for a fast bite without compromising on quality.

Sashisu has multiple locations, and some of them can get quite busy, so be prepared for a possible line at certain spots. Absolutely Appalling – Avoid at All Costs!

My experience at sashisu was nothing short of a complete disaster, and I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed indifferent, bordering on rude. There was no warm welcome, just a sense that we were an inconvenience. However, the real outrage came when the bill arrived. They tacked on extra charges for absolutely nothing. There were items we never ordered, and mysterious "service fees" that were never mentioned upfront. When we questioned these phantom charges, the staff became defensive and dismissive, showing absolutely no willingness to explain or rectify the situation. It felt like a deliberate attempt to overcharge unsuspecting customers. The entire visit was tainted by this blatant dishonesty and genuinely terrible customer service. The attitude of the staff was consistently disrespectful, and their attempts to squeeze extra money out of us were outrageous. Save your money and your sanity – there are countless other places that value their customers and operate with integrity. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this...

This is a very local sushi shop. You order the sushi or maki you want, and the chef prepares it fresh. I had the tuna sushi, tuna maki, and the unagi sushi. The highlight was the unagi sushi — one of the best I’ve ever had. Melty, tasty, and still slightly warm. Honestly, I would come back just for that. They even offer free water.

There are no chairs, so you eat standing, which for me adds a sense of closeness with other customers.

The service is excellent, and everyone was very polite and professional.

Foreigners are very welcome here, so please be respectful toward the staff and the restaurant. I would definitely eat here again.
