The food is good, the amount is appropriate and I like that it’s a balanced mix of hot dishes with sushi. The chef is clearly meticulous. Dessert of mochi with ice cream was incredible, and the souvenir sushi is a nice gesture. A few suggestions to create a more elegant experience fitting of the price because for 17,000 yen I expected a more luxurious, polished dinner:
-The check in is chaotic and staff seemed confused. Loud communication like shouting of directions across the restaurant feels disorganized and chaotic. -Disposable chopsticks feel cheap and unsuited for a nice dinner -Google translate is great, but chef knows what he plans to make, type it all out before the dinner and copy/paste, or print out a menu. The assistant chefs/server is trying to make drinks, serve us and type at the same time. Water was not refilled often and at times, forgotten. -My sushi rice sometimes fell apart. Feels rushed. Also why was the shrimp cooked and not raw? -Dim the lights above the customers. The chef area can be bright, but it’s too bright for dinner ambiance.

Read moreI had a wonderful experience at Sushi Kazuma. The chef is very handsome, friendly, and welcoming. This is an omakase restaurant, and although we arrived an hour earlier than our reservation (as my friend wasn’t feeling well), he kindly adjusted and managed everything within 10 minutes to let us in. We truly appreciate his effort and kindness.
The lady assistant was also very friendly and nice, and she spoke English very well, which made communication easy and comfortable.
The food was unique, fresh, and of course, super delicious. If you’re looking for something special, I definitely recommend trying this restaurant. At the end of our meal, the chef even gave us some extra sushi to take home, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
For foreigners, it can be a little hard to find since the signage doesn’t display the English name “Sushi Kazuma.” I would suggest adding the Japanese name on the Google Business page or, even better, including English lettering on the signage to make it easier for visitors.
Most of all, I’ll always remember the chef’s warm and...
Read moreWe had an extremely enjoyable and unforgettable meal 2 months ago at Sushi Kazuma. We are frequent visitors to Japan and are not new to Omakase and Japanese cuisine, but this is certainly one of the best we've had in terms of quality of the ingredients, the skills of the chef, the service, the atmosphere of the restaurant etc. Despite the language barrier, both the chef and his lovely staff were very enthusiastic and passionate about what they offer. If you ever visit Osaka, we'd strongly recommend a visit. Please be sure to book as there are only 11 seats in the restaurant. We will definitely go back next time we are in Osaka. To the chef and your staff, please keep up the good work and let your customers know how delicious and excellent the real Japanese...
