Uemachi — Restaurant in Osaka

We came as a family for lunch. This was by far the most expensive meal we had in Japan at about 20k per person. However, we felt it was quite worth it. The restaurant is divided into several small rooms that guarantee privacy and quiet. The ambiance was also quite nice with soft traditional music playing in the background.

We ordered the kaiseki set meals, which came in about 10 courses. It was a lot of food and we barely managed to finish. The food was flavorful, the presentation was beautiful, and the timing of serving was just right - not too rushed, but also not too long between courses. We were out in about 2 hours from seating to dessert.

The only dark spot for our entire visit was they (like many Japanese restaurants) don't let you take away leftovers. The kids lunches were huge and it was a royal shame to leave so much behind. If you do order the kids set, the larger one is about twice what a 7 year...

We have a very warm reception by the friendly staff and lead us to a private dining room.

去年の春に娘の大学合格祝いを高校の恩師をお招きして予約しました。その時にその旨をお伝えしましたら、落ち着いたお部屋に案内していただき、料理長が「この度はおめでとうございます」とご挨拶に来てくださいました。 お料理は全てが匠の技と素材が生きて、目にも美しく舌もとろけそうでした。 大満足です。 お部屋もテーブルも椅子も綺麗で、和を贅沢に堪能できます。 途中お手洗いに立ったのですが、迷路のようになっていて、迷子さながらお部屋に連れて行ってくださいました。
