We came as a family for lunch. This was by far the most expensive meal we had in Japan at about 20k per person. However, we felt it was quite worth it. The restaurant is divided into several small rooms that guarantee privacy and quiet. The ambiance was also quite nice with soft traditional music playing in the background.
We ordered the kaiseki set meals, which came in about 10 courses. It was a lot of food and we barely managed to finish. The food was flavorful, the presentation was beautiful, and the timing of serving was just right - not too rushed, but also not too long between courses. We were out in about 2 hours from seating to dessert.
The only dark spot for our entire visit was they (like many Japanese restaurants) don't let you take away leftovers. The kids lunches were huge and it was a royal shame to leave so much behind. If you do order the kids set, the larger one is about twice what a 7 year...
