まり食堂 — Restaurant in Otaru

The lady chef/owner was so rude. She dropped the coins/change on the floor "on purpose" and ignored it until I picked them up. She just said 'gomen~'. No sumimasen or gomennasai. I thought it was her mistake at that time. But when I asked my Japanese friend about this situation later, he said it was RACISM. He also said that "some" japanese tend to look down asian when they speak poor japanese without using English.

Shame...

This place is a little hidden gem. Located at the second floor with a small entrance, the place is really cozy. The food was simple, healthy and delicious ! It felt like being invited to a local family house and sharing homemade food ! I would definitely recommand to people looking for healthy...
