Bad, bad branch. Every single store is different for the same food in more than 12 branches around Japan I have frequented. Even the same branch is different food wise dependent upon who is the cook. Some places huge portions, and some, (like this branch), tiny portions. This branch is awful. I ordered level 6. This tasted like level 1. Some places level 6 tastes like level 10. But I paid extra to have level 6. They told me to use the chilli powder? Garbage. Level 6 to 10 is a decent heat. This tasted awful. Won't come back here. Staff should be trained to be consistent in every store, which clearly is not the case. Best store is in Shibuya. Level 10 is good, but some branches taste like level 6. Best to not pay extra for heat, and just bring own chilli powder. Waste of money to pay for nothing. Shibuya portions are way greater...

It well deserves the "壱番" in it's name, since it is the best curry place. I can't here after a long flight to recharge my energy. Spicyness level 7 was very spicy and very good 🔥
