Best find in Sapporo! I wanted to experience omakase in Japan and this exceeded all expectations. The setting was intimate, and it was a real highlight to chat with the chef, who kindly introduced each course in English and explained the local ingredients. Every dish was prepared with such care and thoughtfulness, using only the best produce from Hokkaido.
The seafood selection was outstanding, and the Hokkaido lamb was a real surprise — perfectly cooked with a beautiful sauce and paired with shine muscat grapes. It was offered as a special upgrade that evening while the chef was hosting a friend, and I felt very lucky to try it. Each course was balanced and refined, showcasing the natural flavours of top-quality ingredients.
The drinks were excellent too — we enjoyed smooth Hokkaido Niseko sake, a Japanese wine that paired beautifully with the seafood, and a house-made black wheat beer. They also have an extensive wine and sake list (if only I could have tried more!). Even the dessert — homemade coconut ice cream — was delicious and memorable.
Reservation was easy through Instagram, and the owner was very helpful in providing directions on how to find the place, as it’s not obvious from the street.
What I loved most was that this wasn’t a formal fine-dining omakase like ones I’ve had in Sydney, but a casual, warm, and authentic setting. The food was amazing, the chef was welcoming and knowledgeable, and the value for money was fantastic. A must-try in Sapporo — I’ll...

Read moreWe visited this restaurant for dinner in early August during our summer vacation. I made a reservation through Instagram, and the owner replied very quickly in English and was extremely kind, so making the booking was very smooth.
Even though the time slot I wanted was originally only available for four people, we were five, and the owner kindly arranged an extra space so that we could all dine together. (He mentioned that the dishes might come out a bit slower, but that was absolutely no problem for us.)
The chef—who has a great interest in Korea—explained all the ingredients and dish names in Korean, which helped us fully enjoy the flavors of each course. Every dish felt carefully crafted, and the sushi pieces were truly delicious.
I will definitely come back the next time I visit Sapporo. By then, I’m sure this place will be even...
