Picked this place at random near my hotel. I went in at 5pm, right about as it opened after being closed for the usual odd break Japanese restaurants do. It was just me, the waiter and the chef.
The waiter was a young guy from Kyushu, where I live, and spoke good English, so we got along really well. They asked me if I wasn't able to eat anything in particular right off the bat, which is nice to consider, probably because I'm a foreigner.
I don't like shrimp, not an allergy thing, so they were happy to replace the shrimp sushi in the set I had (Fuji) with something else!
They suggested I try some local specialties, and I had the absolute misfortune to try shirako. I'm sure its probably the height of cuisine to some others, but for me, it was the most vile thing I've ever ate, haha!

Ordered one of the sets (set #4) posted on photo and two sake pitchers for the table. Each of us spent around JPY4,500 which was real value for money - given the quality and amount of serving.
