SAPPORO NIKUAZABU — Restaurant in Sapporo

We visited NIKUAZABU during a quick trip to Sapporo. It had good reviews, was easy to book through several platforms, and a meat cake. Let me repeat that, it had a meat cake, a cake made of meat. We had to try that as we wanted to celebrate a birthday and anniversary and were not disappointed. We ordered the 'celebrity chef' menu and all of the meat was outstanding. Our chef/server was fun, spoke great English, and did a fantastic job of introducing the different cuts and letting us know which sauce to pair with each one. He also took a great photo of us with our meat cake. The atmosphere was lively, the pricing is outrageously good, the service impeccable, and the night unforgettable. If you're in Sapporo and want to have a great time, visit this restaurant.

The chef and staff who attended to us were incredibly attentive, asking all the small details about our meal preferences before starting the omakase course. Throughout the meal, the chef made the effort to remember everything and served us with great care, accommodating all of our requests.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is both lively and cosy, creating a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious, with a high standard of quality, and definitely worth the price.

I think if you order ala carte dishes, you have to do the grilling on your own. But we order the omakase set, therefore the chef do it for us. Do check with them...

If it’s possible I would give this place six or seven stars, not five. This is not only the highlight of my Japan trip but also one of the very best moments in years for me. The vibe is superb: nostalgic music, young and fun guests. The foods is good, fresh and well blend. But one thing is beyond our expectation and also makes me most happy is the service. I know F&B service is Japan is always good but here’s different level. They are a professional, dedicated group of young men and women who put the customers at heart.
