We booked to stay in a Double Room for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much.||We had taken the Hokkaido Liner bus from Niseko, and the nearest stop to this hotel is the Prince Sapporo Hotel, which is about only 450m walk away. Despite having many heavy luggage with us, we did not find that to be a problem.||This hotel seems to be very popular with tourist group. When we arrived for check-in, there was a big group before us who had “cleaned up” the free toiletries, tea and other freebies laid out by the hotel for guests at the lobby. The front desk staff was very apologetic for the delay we had to wait, and we were given our room very promptly. ||The room is not very spacious, but this is not unusual for Japanese standard. However, it has all the modern amenities that are expected of a hotel of the price we have paid for in a city like Sapporo. There is a bathhouse at the hotel, but we did not have time to use it, so I am unable to comment on that. One of the best thing I love about this hotel was its breakfast. It was one of the best we have had during our trip to Japan this time!||The location of the hotel is quite ok – it is convenient for us to explore the busy city by walking. We walked all over the city and visited all the highlights of the Susukino Ice World and the Snow Festival displays at Odori Park. ||The staff were helpful when we asked for assistance regarding transportation. We needed to go to the airport very early in the morning upon checking out, and as taxis were very expensive, we walked about 1km from the hotel to the nearest bus stop in Susukino (near Nikka and opposite Mercure Sapporo) to catch the bus that goes to the airport.| |Overall, we are very happy with our stay at this hotel for the...

Really perfect spot to stay if you're interested in the Sapporo Snow Festival! We stayed for one week and enjoyed a very quick walk to both the main festival sites (the ice sculpture street and the snow sculpture park). Additionally there is a 7/11 right next door and the long main shopping street barely one block over. If you are travelling on public transport to get here, I recommend trying to bring your bags during the day because the snow gets very deep at night when there's less people wandering around. If you arrive early or you have a late flight- The staff are more than happy to hold your bags before and after your stay. All hotel guests are welcome to enjoy the spacious lobby on the ground floor too! There's a cute faux fire pit, lots of comfy chairs and a large bar-style seating area for people who need to work on a laptop or charge their devices. The rooms themselves are comfy and well furnished with mini fridge, thick blankets, extra pillows and free amenities (these are replaced daily around mid-morning when the cleaners come by to empty bins etc.). Hotel policy is to change the bedding every 3 days and the staff are not permitted to touch any of your personal belongings. So, please note what days they will visit and don't leave items on the bed, otherwise they won't be able to do their job easily. I felt bad because we woke up very late one day and the staff had to clean around the opened suitcases we had everywhere haha.

Granbell Hotel Tanuki has one of the most beautiful coworking lounge at reasonable price. And comes with an artificial hot spring (Onsen) with gorgeous interior. I love their daily mocktail beverage provided at the lobby. Room are very small just like all other 3 & 4 stars hotel in Japan. You can only open up 1 large luggage near the door. Toilet bowl had heating function. Shower room is minimalistic but a lot more modern than other hotels. Charging ports are located at highly inconvenient areas (common in Japan). Almost all staff except 1 guy can understand English. Located near eatery street and next to 7 Eleven. The only downside is their refund policy and lack of empathy/kindness (don’t book long stay in advance). I explained to them that since there was no Sakura Blossom in Sapporo unlike what was researched online, I would like to cut my stay short to 2 nights instead of 7 in order to move to Hirosaki to catch the last days of Sakura blossom which I have waited for a year. The Female manager refused refund and can’t even give a free breakfast (Worth 20K Yen) for the 3rd morning despite forfeiting 5 days of stay (90k+ Yen Per Night). Definitely not a great impression of Japanese hospitality & Granbell brand. Would be more than happy to stay their outlet in other provinces. But they are very inflexible with their policy. Would have booked with Accor hotels if I knew this would happen (There is free breakfast for Gold+ members).
