After enjoying the night view at Mount Tengu in Otaru, I returned to Sapporo quite late, around 9 PM. As it is often the case, ramen shops are the best places to find food late at night.
Similar to most ramen establishments, you first need to purchase your meal from the automated vending machine at the entrance. Once you've selected your ramen, the staff will guide you to your seat. Due to my limited knowledge of Japanese, I struggled a bit with ordering, but eventually managed to order a ramen with a yuzu flavor.
The yuzu ramen turned out to be a refreshing choice. The broth had a clean and light taste, and it was topped with a slow-cooked slice of meat and a perfectly boiled egg.

Read moreCosy little ramen place - you order your noodles via ticket machine. There are English descriptions on the wall opposite the ticket machine (turn around if you are facing the machine) to help you choose your dish. Complimentary seasoned beansprouts and pickled appetizers are available - self...

We totally forgot about it, sat down, took photographs like most tourists and enjoyed our ramen. The ramen is tasty and frequent by the locals. We realized the missing change while we were shopping and rushed back in the afternoon. We had nothing to prove at this point but the boss patiently listened to our story and told us to return at the shop close when he tallies the machine records to the cash receipts. Indeed there was a difference of 8k and the boss kindly returned us the amount. Very honest folks. Ramen is delicious and tasty too. Highly...
