This had got to be the best ramen I've eaten in this region. Amazing shrimp pork broth and the amazing aroma brings job to eating here.
The eating experience is good. And I would give it 5stars. It is spacious and compared to other ramen stalls in Japan this one had alot more space for walking around and sitting area and eating.
They opened at 11am but I was there at 11:08 and it was already full house and I had to wait a long while before I could get my sit. If you can't read Japanese, ask for a English menu. They are very helpful. I like them and their ramen..... Umami! I almost miss this wonderful ramen and thanks to my gf giving up on some shopping ; we didn't miss it. I dunno if I should be grateful for them making such good ramen or grateful to my gf for making less shopping trips so that I could enjoy nice better food.
Because we stay near this area (Airbnb) we only walk 3 mins. If you are in the heart of sapporo, you'd need about 15mins of walking but I tell you it is all worth it. Please taste it in their...
Read moreThe food is undeniably amazing but the service seems so terribly inefficient. They run around more than they actually work. And I should have carefully read the comments (esp in Japanese) before going. Apparently 2pm-5pm is the best time to come. The time after 10pm (when it should be empty) is the WORST. I had to wait for more than an hour even though came around 10:30 already. The staff is fewer, slower, the system is less efficient. And this is actually the time when MOST tourists would come (maybe after they long day traveling). When I was there, I could only spot 2-3 Japanese at the whole store. I would recommend you to avoid this time. I recommend Miso based. Shio was good too but Miso definitely add more flavor. And of course, choose more max flavor of shrimp broth if you don’t mind shrimp. Overall it was very delicious but next time I would try to come in a...
Read moreCame here based on the hype at 1pm on a Wednesday. They have outposts in other countries too, but this is the original. Waited 40mins in total to get my food. (Line stretches outside and once you get in, there’s another line) Pro: friendly staff, English menu. Onigiri was delicious. Noodles were chewy and bouncy how I like it. Con: the broth. I ordered the ‘rich’ broth made with pork and shrimp and seasoned with miso. It was way too salty. Even after diluting the broth with water, it was still salty. And I’m a big fan of salty food, but wow, I could feel my fingers swelling up from the sodium. To be fair, the flavor was good, super shrimpy and garlicky. Maybe order the original broth if you go. Total price: 1050 yen for ramen and onigiri
Was it worth the hype? No. There are literally thousands ramen shops in Sapporo/Japan. Try a...
