Meal: Lunch Day Visited: Friday Budget: ¥1,000/person Closest Station: Susukino Reservation Needed?: N/A Payment: Cash Kid Friendly?: No English Menu?: No, not currently Ramen fanatics should pay this famous ramen shop a visit. Others, might be a bit disappointed. While some foreign visitors have reported that this is a “must visit” in their reviews, my sense is that this style of “advanced” ramen doesn’t generally appeal to the non-Japanese palette. With that said, if you’re really into noodles, these are unique and you should venture up here! The restaurant has branches in Tokyo and at least one internationally (in Hong Kong), but this is their headquarters, which is also cool. Expect a short wait virtually any time of day, particularly on the weekend.

Came here based on the hype at 1pm on a Wednesday. They have outposts in other countries too, but this is the original. Waited 40mins in total to get my food. (Line stretches outside and once you get in, there’s another line) Pro: friendly staff, English menu. Onigiri was delicious. Noodles were chewy and bouncy how I like it. Con: the broth. I ordered the ‘rich’ broth made with pork and shrimp and seasoned with miso. It was way too salty. Even after diluting the broth with water, it was still salty. And I’m a big fan of salty food, but wow, I could feel my fingers swelling up from the sodium. To be fair, the flavor was good, super shrimpy and garlicky. Maybe order the original broth if you go. Total price: 1050 yen for ramen and onigiri Was it worth the hype? No. There are literally thousands ramen shops in Sapporo/Japan. Try a different one.

Ordered: 1) moderate broth with miso prawn, thick noodles; 2) rich broth with salt prawn, thin noodles. (1) actually had more shrimp and charred flavour and a bit saltier than (2), which had a very deep, rich and quite thick broth and a nice shrimp flavour balance too. Preferred (2). ¥830 each. Noodles cooked just right - nice bouncy texture. Gyouza was also very nice ¥380. Very good value and very unique flavours that suited my palate just right. Mouth felt clean and not heavy after. Pretty safe to safe it’s one of the best ramens I’ve had in my life!! I wish they’d have this shop back home! Friendly, very efficient service as they take your order while you’re waiting and you pretty much get your order as you sit down. Come here - you won’t regret!!.

Speechless, super yummy especially if you are shrimp/prawn soup fan. Not really a fan of ramen but was pestered to come here for a try as it is not the regular shio/soy/bone soup base. We ordered the original salt and rich soy noodle. Original is really well balance on shrimp flavour and I reckon suitable for most ppl. However if you are a die hard fan of Singapore prawn noodle soup, I'll highly recommend the rich soy variant, it beats the Singapore soup hands down many times. The soup is think almost to a stew, clinging onto noodles and you savour it. There is almost no shrimp like the Singapore version, however ever mouthful of soup you can taste the rich prawn taste. This is definitely a must go place everytime I come Sapporo 😋

Pretty long que at around 7, took me 30+ minutes to get seated. They have an English menu and they take your order before you're seated. I ordered 3 extra meat slices and a small bowl of rice to go along with with the rich flavor broth and the shrimp and salt topping. Thick noodles as well. Meat was great but I'm pretty sure they only give you one or two slices unless you order extra like I did. The noodles were flavorful, very good as well. What stood out was the broth. This was the best broth I've had in my life up to this point. So flavorful and warm and tasted so good; normally I try my best to avoid eating vegetables but this broth was so good I ate all the vegetables just so I wouldn't miss any of the broth.

We LOVE 一幻拉麵 from the first second we entered the restaurant. The restaurant was filled with the irresistible fragrance of shrimp (seafood) broth. We tried 5 famous ramen shops during our Hokkaido trip and the shrimp broth served by 一幻 is the best ramen broth/soup we have tried. Its noodles (ramen), eggs 玉子 and dumplings also tasted wonderful. All the chefs / staff were friendly and accommodating to customers with special accessibility needs. They greeted all customers with a genuine big smile. They made customers, in particular customers who don't speak Japanese, feel very comfortable. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious, new and clean comparing with other ramen restaurants in Japan. Highly recommended.
