My eye immediately latched onto the berry chocolat pistachio parfait here. And let me say that ¥1400 parfait was worth every last yen. Normally, I think parfaits are a little overpriced and more about presentation over eating experience. But, I was definitely wrong about this place. By far, this is my favorite parfait in Sapporo.
They perfectly balanced the textures and flavors, especially in the layering. Absolutely the best from start to finish. The tumble weed thing was a mess to eat but when eaten in one go, it tastes lightly of those fried noodle chips 😂. Still fun and tasty though. The pistachio was light and refreshing. After that, you get to the chocolate which is absolutely and deeply rich. Then you reach this oatmealy, healthy protein shake tasting batter or something that definitely wasn’t ice cream, which I also enjoyed. I really couldn’t put my finger on what it was. But it was a nostalgic flavor for me. It was even more enjoyable with the bits of chocolate rice balls and cinnamon-y gingerbread probably. And finally, there’s the layer of mixed berries.
I don’t normally write a long review about a single dish but I was seriously happy and satisfied the day I ate this. Not a single bite of disappointment.
The other food was also delicious! They really focus on herbs and more natural flavors. The vibe is relaxing with all the plants. My only complaint is that some of the seats were aesthetically arranged but not very comfortable to eat at (as in you had to lean over in an awkward way and distance to eat). I’ll be coming back to try some other things...
Read moreThis is likely my first one-star review in Japan, and it truly reflects how disappointed I was with my experience at this restaurant. My friends and I were unaware of the restaurant's preparation time, which is between 10:30 and 11:30. We arrived at 11 AM and, eager to enjoy our meal, put our names down before heading to a nearby convenience store to pass the time.
When we returned with our drinks from the convenience store, we were met with an unreasonably stern male server who insisted we couldn't drink outside beverages in their restaurant. We nodded in understanding, but we had no intention of consuming the drinks on the premises. Despite our compliance, he continued to reprimand us about the outside drinks, which felt unnecessary and insulting.
To add to my frustration, this same server displayed a dreadful attitude and an unpleasant facial expression when we first walked in to write our names down. It set a negative tone right from the start. Thankfully, the other servers were courteous, and the food wasn’t bad, but the overall dining experience was utterly overshadowed by this one disrespectful server. I left feeling disheartened and wishing I had chosen a different...

The atmosphere is fabulous with antique-like furniture and spacious, high ceiling room. It is great to spend a peaceful morning in a relaxed environment. Foods are ok with some varieties of sandwiches. Free-drink for an hour includes lemonade, 100% orange juice and some other iced beverages but hot coffee leaves MUCH to be desired. It is prepared in the tank and just warm coffee, not hot at all…I would say espresso machine in my hotel room is way better…Hopefully they can improve it ASAP so that more guests can enjoy and consider this cozy place as a nice choice...
