My husband and I stopped here on our last full day in Hakodate. We were looking for a coffee spot that had some food as well as some variety with their coffee. When we got to Fog, we were not disappointed! They had light, medium, and dark roast coffee, as well as matcha and some soft drinks. They also had some great breakfast options - open faces sandwiches and toast. My husband got black coffee - snow - and I got an iced matcha with a coke. He also got the toast with butter and honey (criminally good) and I got the chicken honey mustard open faced sandwich. Literally so good! I ordered a cup of hot coffee au lait to take out. What shocked me was the staff took a pot of cold coffee from the refrigerator, poured some in to a mug with some milk, and microwaved it!!!!!! He microwaved about three times to ensure it was ‘hot enough’, but it should not be made like this way! Why the coffee was not freshly brewed? Why there is no milk foam but just microwaved milk with coffee? I still don’t understand...

Fog. is really great. This restaurant is near Nakajima park . The atmosphere of the restaurant is classic, spacious and cozy . The food especially the tomatoes spaghetti ( They cook from scratch, you have to wait for while, but it’s worth the waiting) and cheese cake are superb .
