My unplanned visit to this small but cosy cafe turned to be one of the most pleasant experiences during my visit to Sapporo. The owner/barista/roaster is really keen on providing a great cup of coffee and pleasant atmosphere to all guests. You can select coffee based on your preference. I chose a set of coffees you can compare the taste of each bean. I chose China unnan and Ethiopia, and both tasted really fruity and jucy. Particularly, China had a strong Oolong tea flavour, so I enjoyed two taste profiles in one cup. I also ordered red bean paste cheese cake with fermented butter, which was excellent. If I hadn't gained weight through my visit, I would have ordered another.
The place is not too loud but not too quiet, where all clients are allowed to chat. The interior decor was very cute too.

The charming place is run by a 2-person team of Hiro-san, who does amazing coffee; and his lovely wife who dishes out impressive meals and desserts.
There isn't an English menu but Hiro-san speaks fluent English and is always ready to recommend and provide suggestions based on your preferences. I have been there three times and each time I got something different but they always turn out incredible.
The craftsmanship for coffee is incredible, and at a very fair price point. A good range of filter coffee are available, and the meticulously crafted cakes and pastries pair really well. Try to get a counter seat if available, and strike up a conversation with the owner - you will gain so much insight about coffee and he'll throw in some recommendations for the city as well.
A must-visit each time I...
Read moreI had a tasty Ethiopian natural pourover here. The vibes are very chill and staff are attentive. Moreover, I had a lovely chat with the barista who gave me some great recommendations for the rest of my trip. His English was very good, so I got super lucky as an English speaking tourist!
I'd highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a speciality pourover.
I didn't eat here, but the food looked very appealing and there was a line out the door...
