This compact studio apartment is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood and is close to local shops, a few restaurants and is walking distance to railway station (but you may struggle with anything other than hand luggage. ||The unit itself was spotlessly clean and well equipped (even had a washing machine) but it felt cramped because of its compact nature, however it is perfectly adequate for a few nights stay. ||Beds were futon style so almost at ground level and had very little space around them. That said they were reasonably comfortable but on the hard side.||No staff available on site so self-service check / check out which is over complicated. Communication with owner(s) good but found them unhelpful with regards to early check in (would not allow even a few minutes despite unit being available) and no provision to leave luggage if you arrive early or are departing from the city after check out - was bluntly told to use lockers at station!||It appeared that there was a cafe/bistro in the basement so it would have been helpful to have had some information about it in the unit. Would have also appreciated instructions on how to use the washing machine, TV remote, microwave etc translated in to English.||All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again but in one of the larger units as we found the studio a little cramped...
Read moreBooked this apartment hotel through Hotel.com. All check in procedures were notified through email, including 3days advance check in online, scanning all our 5 passports, after that we were given the 4 digit code to get access to the apartment, then again personal check in with the IPad at the front desk upon arrival, immediately we were given our room number and the password to our room. All these were done by ourselves! 5 of us with the average age of 66 years! It was our first time self check in to a hotel! We were so happy and proud of ourselves! We were so marvelled when we entered our home for 3 nights! It is so neat, so cosy, with 3 rooms, a living room and a kitchen! It’s near 2 convenience stores, TV Tower, NHK and a few minutes walk from Sapporo Train Station. I told all my friends that if ever they visit Sapporo, they should stay here. PINN N4E2II, you gave us a great...
Read moreThis is a nice little hotel. As of December 2018, it's very new and stylishly decorated. Fairly roomy by Japan standards, and situated in a good part of town. There are plenty convenience stores nearby, as well as a little grocery about 5 mins away. Esta Mall is 5 mins away, and a huge JR station with more malls and restos another 5 from there.
There is no housekeeping service which is a little bothersome, but there are cleaning supplies in each room. No matter how big a room you get, there is only one convection stove in the kitchen. My family likes cooking locally sourced ingredients, so that was a bit of a pain.
Pillows were also soft and flat as pancakes, with no extras available in the room. But the room was spotless and nicely decorated, so these little issues are forgivable.
Overall, very good value...
