Despite the reviews I read, We still tried this place because the environment looks clean and the staff was very accomodating.
For 2 people we spent 4500 yen. For those with a tight budget but still want to try the crab, this is a good option. I ordered the crab with salmon bowl.
I gave it a 4.5/5 for the following reason:
5/5 Staff accomodation - they were very welcoming and they answered all are questions since we were not very familiar with the menu.
4/5 Menu - the menu had really clear pictures and the price was well visible. They already mentioned that the tax was included in the menu price. My rate for this was just 4 because there was no english translation BUT the staff was kind to translate for us.
5/5 Taste - contrary to the reviews I read, it was very fresh and delicious for my taste. The crab peeled of really nicely. Really fresh
5/5 presentation - it was made very fast but surprisingly it was placed neatly in the bowl. It became More appetizing
I will recommend this to future travelers. In general, Nijo Market may have long queu in almost all the restaurants, but this place is definitely a good option to try if you cannot wait anymore in the other more known places 🙂
Will add pictures through...

It cannot be entered on the side facing the Tanukoji Shops Block #1 entrance. On a sidenote we found that most of the eateries at Nijo market feature similar at least in as far as sashimi goes. One of the staff spoke English so that was good for us. Various crab meat dominate the menu though it has scallops, samon, tuna, urchin as well & a tasty grilled sanma fish...
Read moreBesides the fresh seafood, I thought I was skimped out on some of the food. Just a little, not a lot. But still. I ordered #9 with #15. The uni didn't look that appetizing but tasted great. There's only one lady tending to the entire shop (waiting, taking orders, cleaning up tables, and cash register), so be a little patient. I feel like it's worth more than going to the famous restaurant on the next block that's definitely a tourist trap. Honestly, any Japanese restaurant will be at least satisfactory,...
