Sapporo Engine — Restaurant in Sapporo

Was thinking about going to another ramen down the street recommended by my hotel, but after seeing the DOZENS of loud Chinese tourists waiting, decided to dip into this gem. Was quite cold inside, but was offered a blanket. Bit of a polar bear anyway, so wasn't bothered. Had one of the most flavourful ramen of MY LIFE. It's all done via a machine at the door, which the lovely lady was happy to help with. Had the ramen she recommended, and a beer, and it was like USD 10!!! There were a few other clearly local people in here, which is obviously a good sign. Quiet, understated, humble, DELICIOUS. This place is at the top of my revisit list when I'm back in...

山鼻線 " 資生館小学校前停留所 " から徒歩で約1分 西8丁目通の西5南8、南5西7交差点の一画にて 営まれている小洒落た内装のラーメン店であります

@sapporo.engine 店の看板には " サッポロラーメン 札幌ゑん神 " 暖簾には " 札幌炎神 南5条店 " インスタは " 札幌炎神ラーメン すすきの南5条店 " いったいどれが正式名称なのかわからないんだが（笑）

2012年9月に狸小路商店街にて本店がオープン 原因や処置について多くは語りませんが 2020年9月15日に災難にも火災に見舞われ 惜しくも閉店してしまった・・・

同年、狸小路本店、西条店を廃業・・・ だが同年11月1日に本店の味を継承した店主が ここ南5条の地にて " ゑん神 " をオープンさせた

入って右手に券売機が設置されているので お好みの食券を発券しスタッフへ手渡し着席する

味噌（味噌、辛味噌、海老味噌、つけ麺） の他に担々麺もあるメニュー構成となっています

◆芳酵味噌らーめん（950円） 中太タイプのちぢれた加水高めの卵麺であります🤗 ぷりぷりもちもちっとした食感で歯応えバッチリだ 確か狸小路本店の時はカネジン食品の麺だった気が しますがカネジン食品ではなく森住製麺謹製との事

昭和のオヂさんがイメージする味噌ラーメンって 兎に角茶系に野菜、挽き肉、コーン、わかめ etc... という先入観を持ってる？人が多いと思われます もはや私だけかもしれませんが（笑）

全国津々浦々とまではいきませんが 出張などが多かったので日本各地のラーメンを いただいてきた私だがここの味噌ラーメンは斬新 スープが白いというかクリーム色なんですよねぇ

だけど白い味噌ラーメンというか白い系って 確かにビジュアルは良く映えるかもなのだが・・

In the first night of my come back to Japan, it is in this tiny shop that I felt in love again with Japanese ramen. The perfect combo of the ambiance, the Sapporo beer, and the almighty masterpiece of Japanese culture, called ramen soup, almost made tears appear in the corners of my eyes. My girlfriend could witness this emotional moment, and my gratitude to the chef....
