Sushi Kai — Restaurant in Sapporo

Having been to numerous sushi restaurants in Japan all these years, we finally found our top fav sushi omakase in Sapporo recommended by hotel concierge. Our second visit was last week. Truly wow at every dish with such creativity and passion into providing the freshest seasonal ingredients. So lucky to have enjoyed two types of uni in season. Big thumbs up to Chef Kai as he deserved at least a Michelin bib gourmand rating, in my opinion. I’m sure he will elevate to “star” road soon. Will visit again during next trip to Sapporo. Pricing is also very reasonable at JPY20k per head given most sushi restaurants already jagged up pricing all over Japan nowadays.
