Toshi — Restaurant in Sapporo

I love hamburg steak, Toshi has been on my list for quite some time so I went. Not a big surprise when I see long queue during lunch time.

Stamina garlic hamburg steak was soooo delicious. You can grill the meat on hot stone to your preferably temperature. I got extra side of thick cut bacon to accompany hamburg which was a great idea. But I also order extra side of cheese which was a big mistake. They gave me far too much cheese, literally covered everything on the hot plate. Onion sauce on the side here is very tasty but cheese just overwhelmed everything..

Then I look at a customer next to me. She got simple Hamburg steak which looks absolutely delicious enough to eat with flavorful onion sauce on the side. I should’ve done that..

Lunch salad here features daily fresh local vegetables. I love daikon sticks, it was unique and refreshing. Service overall pretty amazing, every staffs were very kind with me.

Overall, I highly recommend this spot if you are hamburg lover! Extra toppings are delicious but just don’t order...

This restaurant is very busy. I think i know why - they serve the BEST hamburg steak I've ever eaten.

If you are walking in for dinner (opens at 5:30pm), make sure you arrive 15-20 minutes early and write your name on the "wait list" and decide in advance if you want the normal or big hamburg (because they'll ask).

When it opens at 5:30pm, customers who made reservations will start first. So, the walk-in customers will have to wait for the first seatings to turnover (maybe ~45mins).

The restaurant sits 22 customers at one time.. there's one big round table where the solo dinners will share with the others.

And because the restaurant was so busy, it didn't feel relaxed inside, the staff were literally double paced the whole time, and it affected the quality of service as I found the staff to be a tad impatient.

Nevertheless, the food was SUPERB, best hamburg I've ever eaten. The customers at the restaurant (during the time i was there) were 90% Japanese. This probably...

It’s very delicious and I’m so glad that I came! We didn’t make any reservations so we came slightly earlier than their opening time. You need to write down your name on the board to queue. We were the third group and were able to enter at around 6pm. We ordered their top 2 - one with the wasabi and one with Shiso. The salad and rice were included.
