"Not too sweet... Perfect"

The Sakura mochi shaved ice was amazing. It's a seasonal limited item, there was the slight saltiness in the ice that greatly enhanced the Sakura flavor with the milk and azuki beans. This balance I was not expecting out of any shaved ice shop.

Honestly, I blinked and I've devoured the whole shaved ice in minutes.

Chuan is a place to cool down and enjoy a lovely well balanced dessert. The owner is efficient, keep in mind that if you as a customer want to hold everyone up including his regular customers, ie locals ... Then yes he isn't going to be pleased. This man serves his regular customers a lot and has a community sense to him. If he sees new customers or tourists, help his regular customers through the door, he opens up and is very very friendly, as he did with us.

Given other reviews here, I can see how roudy one time tourists can spoil his reputation with regular customers.

Next time I'm in Japan, I'll visit...

I’ve been visiting this shop for the past 6 years, and it truly serves the most amazing kakigori (shaved ice) in Shizuoka. I’ve even had friends travel all the way from Tokyo just to try these incredible desserts.

The owner is such a warm, friendly person, and the service is absolutely top-notch. I travel to Japan a few times a year, and every time I’m in Shizuoka, I make it a point to visit daily. Recently, the owner has even kindly allowed me to come in after hours while he’s preparing for the next day — such an incredible gesture of hospitality.

オススメ（レギュラーメニュー）: ピスタチオミルク　¥1300 焙じミルク金時　¥600

とにかく素晴らしくおいしいです。東京の人気店と遜色ないクオリティで、値段は1000〜1500円です。シンプルな抹茶やほうじ茶シロップのみなら600円のものも。 限定ではないシンプルなミルク金時や抹茶かき氷でよりここのかき氷のクオリティの高さが感じられると思います。

月に1、2回くらい季節のメニューが変わります。食感の変わるトッピングやソース、中にも新鮮なフルーツやシロップが入っていて、盛り付けも美しく、最後まで飽きずに食べられます。フルーツは注文が入ってから皮を剥いて切ってくれます。 氷はふわふわで口の中ですっと溶けるタイプ。 飲み物は紙コップと水がセルフで用意されてます。

接客についてネガティブな口コミがありますが、入り口に注意事項があるので書いてある通りにすれば大丈夫です。私は怒られたことはないです。 入店して席が空いていても、店主から声を掛けられるまではレジ前の椅子で待ちましょう。

夏の繁忙期以外はワンオペなので、店主はほぼかき氷を削り続けている状態です。 真夏や大型連休はバイトさんがいますが開店前から並んでいて1時間待ちもあります。秋〜冬は12時代や夕方はほぼ待ちなしで入れます。
