Omatcha — Restaurant in Shizuoka

We looked up this restaurant from Google map and we wanna have dessert after dinner. We have just arrived at Shizuoka city tonight after visiting the Mt Fuji area. We came to try the green tea soft serve which is highly recommended in the Google review. The chef explained to us in great detail of the soft serve, even he has limited English but he did his best and we understand it well. We bought take out and enjoyed the ice cream at the park across the street. The green soft serve is superb! The green tea powder is very fresh and I added the red bean paste which is best match with green tea soft serve! My kids have the black sugar topping and that is also absolutely good match with the ice cream, the cone is also very crispy! Do come to try this ice cream if you are around the city area! Highly...

Cannot recommend this establishment enough! Absolutely outstanding cuisine and service.

The teishoku lunch set was out of this world and honestly one of, if not THE, best meal I had during my trip to Japan.

If the quality of food wasn’t enough, the hospitality and generosity of the staff and chef made me feel like a family. The chef/owner speaks excellent English and helped me choose a meal that fit my preferences and hunger level.
