Was worried there might be a line, and we didn't make reservations, but we got there at 6 pm, and they let us dine, no reservations needed. They were very patient in accommodating our English speaking. They had an entire English menu as well. I handed our server my allergen card, and she noticed one of the items had pistachios in it and asked if I was allergic. I am allergic to so many things, so I forgot to put it on the card, but because I had another nut allergy, she asked about it. Already she saved me.
The wine was good. Can't go wrong with sweet wine. He liked his wine too.
The consumme dish was really rich and good on bread.
Scallops with pancakes and mustard dill foam. Let me tell you about the scallops, because I ate my scallops and my husband's scallops because he doesn't like seafood. After we were done eating we walked and took the train back to shinjuku that night, running across the crosswalk while my stomach was full, I didn't get sick because these scallops were cooked to perfection and very fresh. I almost ate two whole portions.
Then we got the lamb. It was baked in clay. THAT WAS SO COOL. Tasted like nothing I had ever eaten before. The woman brought it out to us, and my husband said, "that's beautiful." It was super delicious. I liked the carrots that came with it, and the micro greens were nice and acidic.
The food was so good that I didn't take pictures.
Anyway, super great idea for a fancy night out. Our friendly staff did so much to accommodate us, and we are grateful.

Read more昨今なかなか無いフランス料理のクラシック、その多少の洗練版で、全般的に高水準です。 かなり重く、量も多いので、二人で前菜二品、メイン一品頼んだところ、前菜二品でかなり一杯に。 中年以上は、二人で前菜とメイン一品ずつで充分かと。
パテ(フォワグラ入り)、ブーダン(血のソーセージ)、豚足(フォワグラと鰻入り)と、いずれもフランスでもオッサンが好む料理ばかり頼み、中でもこってりした豚足がすばらしかった。ただ、豚足・フォワグラ・鰻・ソースのどれも濃厚なので、少しやり過ぎ感はありましたが…。これとブルゴーニュのグラスワインがぴったりです。
