Going here is like stepping inside a Murakami novel. The atmosphere is suitably retro and the drip coffee is uncompromising (none of the espresso stuff here). The owner gets the balance of caring for customers and letting you get on with your day just right. I would recommend stopping here for brunch. The mixed sandwich...

池袋のサンシャインに用があった帰り道、そのまま帰るのもアレだなと思い、大塚駅そばの ラーメン屋に徒歩で向かうも、大行列。　午後2時をまわるというのに、なんということだ。。。 絶望感に襲われた。夏の暑い日。なんとか水分を取ろうと、近くのカフェを回るも、コロナや東京オリンピック 期間のせいか、テイクアウトのみか、早じまい。 しかたなく、新大塚駅まで歩いていると、こちらを発見。 中に入ると、15：00までだけど。といわれ、内心、早いよ店じまいが。。と思いつつも、灼熱地獄から抜け出したい一心で 入店。マスターがこっちの方が涼しいよと、涼しい席を案内してくれた。 昔ながらの、レトロな喫茶店です。煙草が嫌いな人は難しいかもしれませ...
