I lived in California for many years and I know what a good burrito looks like A friend of mine who's Mexican and works around Hiroo took me here. As most burritos I have eaten in Japan for the last 15 years, the taste is always off, the ingredients are a joke and the portion is incredibly small for what you pay. If you've lived in Japan long enough, you know what I mean. Before seeing the food truck I was convinced the food was going to be barely eatable and nothing remotely close to the real deal, as usual.
Wow, how wrong I was!!! We both ordered the regular (large size) pork burrito and a pork quesadilla to share. Maybe I'm getting older or my body just got used to Japanese food portions but we barely finished the burrito and half the quesadilla. The amount of meat is very generous, and the most important of all, every single ingredient feels right and tastes great! The tortilla, black beans, rice, guacamole, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, cheese... everything sooo tasty and juicy. I still can't believe I finally found the right place to eat a real burrito and quesadilla.
Also and if the weather is right, you can eat at the park that's in front of the truck.
Kudos to the chef. I'm definitely coming back and I'll bring my family and friends to experience the best...
