🐶🍝 A Furry Friend's Paradise with Room for Improvement 🍝🐶
Hello there, fellow travelers in Tokyo. If you're strolling around Hiro station and your four-legged companion is craving some company, Bondi Cafe Hiro might be the spot for you. It's a unique gem that welcomes dogs with open arms, making it a haven for pet lovers. However, let's dive into the details.
First off, the best part – dogs are allowed! This place deserves a gold star for its dog-friendly policy. If you've got a pup in tow, this is your sanctuary. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the camaraderie among dog owners and their furry friends creates a warm and inviting vibe.
Now, onto the not-so-pawsitive aspects. The food, sadly, doesn't quite match up to the dog-friendly charm. It seems that the kitchen is steering clear of certain ingredients like garlic and onions to accommodate our canine companions. While it's admirable, it does take a toll on the flavors. The dishes here lean towards the mediocre side, and for foodies seeking a culinary adventure, this might not be the top pick.
The seating is comfortable enough, with semi-terrace style spots where you can enjoy the fresh air with your pup by your side. But remember, it's all about the company of the dogs here, so don't expect anything too fancy in terms of ambiance.
In summary, Bondi Cafe Hiro is a real treat for dog lovers in Tokyo. The dog-friendly atmosphere is a huge plus, and you can spend quality time with your furry companion. However, if you're looking for a gastronomic delight, you might want to adjust your expectations. It's a place where the dogs reign supreme, and that's exactly why you'll love it. So, leash up your pup and get ready for a meal that'll leave your dog's tail wagging, even if your taste buds aren't doing...

That’s when I saw a picture of the most amazing eggs Benedict ever. I’m hooked! Alright, so finding the place is a bit of a work of blind faith. It’s tucked into a tiny corner of what would otherwise be considered a dingy alleyway/parking lot.
The staff are amazingly kind and helpful, and despite my limited Japanese, we did indeed vibe. It’s a decently spacious place with surfer cabin vibes. Blankets everywhere to make it cozy and the 70s aesthetic really felt amazing.
The eggs Benedict, by the way, was as amazing as described. Paired with two strips of bacon over two large cuts of bread and a sauce that just begs to be sopped up. I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s just a quick walk from the station and a slightly less quick of a walk to the nearby Arisugawa-no-Miya...
Read moreWas craving for some good Aussie brunch and some googling leads to this place - I believe the name of the restaurant took inspiration from Bondi Beach in Sydney.
Took queue number around 11:45 and had to wait for over an hour with 8 groups ahead. Thankfully with the mobile queue system you don’t have to wait on the spot.
Ordered shrimp eggs benedict with salmon topping, sautéed salmon in mushrooms light cream soup, açai yogurt, and flat white. Food was just okay, nothing special and way overpriced for the quality and portion and it’s definitely not worth the long wait to get in. Plenty of better brunch options around, of similar if not lower price range. Service was also just so so.
Only perk imo is you get to meet many dogs and puppies here as it’s pet friendly :) wouldn’t recommend if you...
