From the moment my wife and I stepped into this hidden gem in Tokyo, we felt as if we had been transported straight to 1950s Cuba. The warm, sultry ambiance, the rich aroma of Cuban spices, and the rhythmic hum of Latin music set the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening.

The drinks? Absolutely phenomenal. We ordered mojitos, and they were hands down some of the best we’ve ever had—perfectly balanced with fresh mint, just the right hint of sweetness, and that crisp, refreshing kick of rum that instantly made us feel like we were strolling through the streets of Havana.

And the food—wow. Every bite was a love letter to Cuban cuisine, with flavors so rich and authentic that we almost forgot we were in Japan. Coming from Miami, where Cuban food is a way of life, we know the real taste, and this place absolutely nailed it. We started with croquetas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy, flavorful perfection on the inside. Then came the Cuban sandwich—pressed to golden perfection, with layers of juicy roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard, just the way it should be. Of course, we couldn’t resist also diving into the ropa vieja, the tostones, and the arroz con frijoles, all of which tasted like home.

But what truly made the experience magical was the people. The owner and staff radiated warmth and hospitality, making us feel not just like guests, but like old friends welcomed into their home. Their passion for the culture, the food, and the experience they create is truly something special.

If you’re in Tokyo and craving an escape to old Havana, this place is a must-visit. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a journey, a celebration, and an experience you won’t forget. We’ll...

First. I have never been so impressed by the palate at a restaurant in a very long time. The presentations alone were very unique and appealing.

I had the ceviche which ,to me,was the best that I had that night.

That ceviche was fire.

Then I had fried calamari which was good. And the beet salad.

Salad was cray cray. I don’t even like veggies like that and I damn near ate the whole salad.

Then I had the lobster creole. Which was terrific. Next time I’m having the chicken Fricasse.

I also had the wagyu sukiyaki dish as well, just because it peaked my curiosity. It wasn’t particularly my taste however I can see the appeal it will have with Japanese guest and think it will be a nice staple your menu. (Another truly unique dish)

I snacked on some olives and mixed nuts as well as the French fries.

All were a nice flair of authentic Cuban accents that gave me a since of Havana.

I personally have to say that it was like eating at home in the warmth of a family home. The atmosphere alone was something to rave about.

Havana1950 gives people somewhere that they can go to be out of the ordinary when it comes to dining experience. That alone is a jewel.

Keep up the great work. If it gets any better than what it is now I see you guys as having a top five restaurant in Tokyo.

Good luck my guy and thanks for...

If you're looking for an authentic Cuban dining experience, this is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and vibrant atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable meal.

The food is nothing short of spectacular. The ceviche was perfectly balanced—fresh, zesty, and bursting with flavor. Every dish we tried was a culinary masterpiece, blending bold spices and traditional Cuban ingredients in a way that felt both authentic and refined.

The staff deserve special mention for their exceptional hospitality. They made us feel like family, taking the time to explain the menu and recommend some of their personal favorites.

The drink menu was equally impressive. From classic mojitos to creative cocktails, every drink was expertly crafted and complemented the meal beautifully.

And then there’s the music! The lively Cuban tunes created an infectious energy!

Whether you're here for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or just to experience something unique, this restaurant delivers on every front....
