As many have said, the service was not really good. This is my 3rd Peruvian restaurant going, and we chose it because it seemed a bit cheaper than the other ones. I am 50/50 on if I would recommend it though.
Food: As a Peruvian myself, I wanted to invite my friends to taste it as well. The Ceviche was good, but it wasn't the best (maybe others who are not Peruvian, it would be good enough though). The Huancaina sauce was not good, it tasted sour which it's not supposed to, I can even make it better. The rice in the Arroz con Pollo was too mushy, which it normally is an in between, but this one was a bit too much. The Menestron soup was very good, we really enjoyed that one. The anticucho, was also very delicious.
Service: They were in a rushed hour, so I understand that part, but being nice and attentive can be put in between those lines by just saying thank you, welcome, etc. We had to wait like 10 minutes for the guy to come to our table and take our order; it seems that they are understaffed so people are doing different stuff at the same time. They should really hire more people because service is a very important aspect, and it really didn't have that. When we got out dishes, they were very rushed that they just threw or passed the plate fast and left. One even gave me the wrong order, which we didn't even touch, but it was unfortunate cause I think they had to remake it for the other customer. It really seemed like a poor part of Perú service (everyone rushed, not attentive, etc). The food being acceptable, will not be enough with the average to low service so I hope that's worked on, or at least hire someone who is good at customer service to take care of that and the restaurant will be...
Read moreAmazing food is just like home, everything had BIG portions even the menu items (which were ¥800-900). Also the Chef was making everything from scratch, nothing was frozen previously and heated up like in other restaurants (because we have some complex dishes that take too long so many places do this with their menu items but not here). I understand why there are bad reviews from some people but is usually because it takes a bit for the dishes to come out in comparison to other restaurants but it was only like 10-15 minutes max. Personally I had a good time, I went with a couple of friends and everyone ended up eating 2 main courses since everything was so tasty 🤤 today I'm writing a review since I'm going back for lunch there 😁 100%...
Read moreTypical Peruvian home cooking. Nothing fancy. Very informal. Lot of young people. Rice is Japanese, therefore, not really suitable for Peruvian cuisine. So Arroz con Pollo is always a gamble, although Papa a la Huancaina is a freebie that comes with. Picante de Mariscos, unfortunately, not recommended. Yes, there are styles, but this one is not even close to that on the picture, and it is pricey. On the positive side, portions are generous. Seco a la Nortena is the flagship plate. Pisco Sour does...
