JR-East Hotel Mets Premier Gotanda — Hotel in Tokyo

We stayed here in mid Nov, arrived before 6am. After we confirmed our reservations with the front desk, a nice staff help keeping our 4 pcs of luggage inside the office. This arrangement seems normal, yet some new hotels started to build luggage locks in the open area to replace this service. It might be convenient, yet I feel unsafe this way, especially many of our suitcase use zippers now, opening one is more than easy. And this is the MAIN reason we chose this hotel than the second one on our list.

For this hotel Pro: location: 1 min from JR & Asakusa line is a big plus. also 2 supermarkets, drug stores, McDonald's, Uniqlo & many more are 1 min away.

room: we stayed in a premium double, it was spacious, it would be a plus if we can get a softer instead of 2 chairs.

service: cleaning dept is doing a good job, always come back seeing a cleaned room.

amenity: free Pola skin care, bath salt, cotton swabs and more are provided at the lobby. (only the toothbrush was too stiff) Since I love water drink, yet not a coffee drinker, the hot water at the lobby was a plus to me. Thank you.

Laundry: it is a plus, only the machine circle was VERY long and keep postponing =p.

bed: very comfy, extra storage space for luggage under the bed.

power outlet: USB & power plug at bedside & near the desk.

deodorant spray works like a charm.

taxi: saw taxi lining up next to the hotel in the morning. It's very convenient.

Con: breakfast: look tasty, yet lack of varieties, so we didn't try. safety box: not provided in the room.

Quietness: it was okay for us, yet for a sound & vibration sensitive person, you might want to stay a hotel far...

This is not the first time I stayed in JR East Hotel Mets Premier Gotanda. The reason I chose this hotel again was not only because of the location (it sits right on top of the Gotanda station which is very convenient), but also because of the super friendly staff. For instance, I asked the receptionists where I could pick up a sim card for my phone in nearby store. They not only searched it for me, but also printed out the map to show me how to get them. They did one further: They called the store to ensure that they had the card. The other occasion was, I wanted to go to a restaurant but I only got the address, the staff googled it, printed out the map and gave me thorough instructions how to get there. I appreciated their service very much.The room is not super big, but good enough for two people. It is clean, and it separates the shower area and the washroom area, which is very nice.One thing I really like in the room is the mini massager; I used it every single night to smooth my back and legs.
