BA CON TRÂU バコンチャオ — Restaurant in Tokyo

This restaurant shares the same floor and space as an izakaya. One major downside is the unpleasant, dirty elevator you need to take to reach it. You have to go near a McDonald's order board on the first floor and then take the elevator to the fifth floor where the restaurant is located.

The food quality and portions are actually good compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Japan. For lunch, they even offer a buffet section with snacks and desserts you can freely choose from. However, despite this innovative idea, most of the buffet food is left cold and tastes quite bland.

The restaurant also has the typical habit of playing Vietnamese sad songs or EDM loudly on the TV, which can be annoying if you just want to have a conversation. Additionally, most of the customers are Vietnamese, and some can be quite loud and obnoxious.

Despite these drawbacks, if you're a Vietnamese person looking for decent food that resembles the flavors of home, this place is not a bad choice. I haven't tried their izakaya section, but if the food quality is similar, it should be...
